Had Fun But Needs Tweaking
Around 3pm, my family and I arrived to experience minimal activities on Art Rooney Avenue. I expected bounce houses for kids and food right there, based on past Pitt events I've attended. The 2-hour wait before the gates opened would have been a total drag if not for the Regatta. Food was only located by the river. After eating and watching Regatta activities, we waited in a super long line which moved pretty quickly once the gate opened, leading us to find pretty good seats. There was great entertainment on the field - dogs, BMX bikes, player and coach introductions. However, I wish there had been more: Steeline and Zac Brown Band players on the field, school marching band and/or local dance troupe performances, coach sideline interviews, etc. I did not know where the alumni players were and never saw them. The line to view the Lombardi trophies was super long.
